// rescue engagements

Your AI-built app got you to launch. We'll get it to production-grade.

Vibe-coded prototypes are genuinely impressive, until they meet real customers, real data, and real security requirements. We take what you (or your last vendor) generated and make it stable, secure, and maintainable, without throwing away what works.

no judgment · no rebuild-everything reflex · NDA-friendly
// sound familiar?

The symptoms are always the same.

It works until it doesn't.

Fine in the demo, falls over on real data: crashes, duplicate records, edge cases nobody wrote code for.

Nobody can explain the code.

The person (or model) that wrote it is gone, and every change risks breaking something you can't see.

The security is a mystery.

API keys in the source, no real authentication boundaries, customer data handled who-knows-how.

The bills keep growing.

AI API and cloud costs climbing with no one able to say why, or where the waste is.

New features break old ones.

Every addition is a coin flip. The team is afraid to touch the app that runs the business.

Compliance questions you can't answer.

A client, insurer, or regulator asks how data is stored and processed, and there's no honest answer yet.

// the rescue path

Assess, stabilize, harden, then extend.

Same ladder as every AmiFi engagement: a defined deliverable at every step, a fixed quote before any build, and you can stop at any point and keep everything. When a flat rate doesn't make sense, we work hourly against a cap you approve instead, and stabilizing a broken app is the clearest case: no one can honestly fix-quote code they haven't triaged yet.

  1. 01

    Assessment

    FIXED FEE · WRITTEN REPORT

    Senior engineers read the code, map the architecture, and test the security posture: secrets handling, authentication, data flows, dependency risk, and where the next production failure is hiding.

    WHAT YOU WALK AWAY WITH
    • A written report in plain English: what's solid, what's fragile, what's dangerous
    • A prioritized fix list with a fixed quote for each phase
    • An honest keep-vs-rebuild call, component by component
  2. 02

    Stabilize

    HOURLY · CAP YOU APPROVE

    The urgent fixes first: crashes, data integrity, backups, and anything leaking money or data. Your app keeps running while we work.

    This step runs hourly against a cap you approve before we touch anything. Once the ground is stable and the scope is known, Harden and Extend (03 and 04) carry fixed quotes again.

    WHAT YOU WALK AWAY WITH
    • The failures your customers see, fixed
    • Real backups and recovery you've actually tested
    • Runaway API and cloud costs brought under control
  3. 03

    Harden

    SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

    Then we make it defensible: authentication and access done right, secrets out of the source, logging and monitoring, tests and CI so changes stop being coin flips, and the data-handling story your compliance requirements demand.

    WHAT YOU WALK AWAY WITH
    • A security posture you can describe to a client or insurer with a straight face
    • Tests and CI so the app can change safely
    • Documentation a future engineer can actually use
  4. 04

    Extend or Rebuild

    FIXED QUOTE · ONLY IF WARRANTED

    With the foundation solid, we build the features you actually wanted. Or where the assessment showed a component isn't salvageable, rebuild it properly at a fixed quote. We keep what works; rebuilding everything is almost never the answer.

    WHAT YOU WALK AWAY WITH
    • New features on a codebase that can carry them
    • Fixed scope and quote before any build
    • Ongoing support if you want it. Ownership stays with you either way
// why us

Cleanup is a senior-engineer sport.

  • We've done this for 25+ years.

    Rescuing codebases predates the AI wave. Twice we've been brought into a company whose prototype had done its job and couldn't carry what the business was becoming next. Both times we set the architecture it actually needed and shipped it, and both times the funding closed once investors could believe the technology would hold.

  • Security first, opinions second.

    We don't sneer at AI-generated code. We test it, fix it, and leave it better documented than most human-written systems.

  • US-based, discreet.

    Every engineer is a US citizen working in the US. NDAs welcome. Nobody needs to know it was ever a mess.

  • You own everything.

    Code, infrastructure, documentation: in your accounts, in your name, from day one.

// common questions

Questions before a rescue.

Can you fix an app built with AI tools or no-code?

Yes, that's most of what we do here. Whether it came out of an AI coding tool, a no-code platform you outgrew, or a contractor who's long gone, we can read it, test it, and make it production-grade. We don't sneer at how it was built; we make it stable, secure, and maintainable.

Do you rebuild from scratch or salvage what's there?

Whichever is cheaper to get to production-grade, decided in the assessment, component by component, not by reflex. Rebuilding everything is almost never the answer; usually the core is worth keeping and a few pieces need to be redone properly. You get an honest keep-versus-rebuild call in writing before any building starts.

How long does an assessment take?

It's a focused, fixed-fee engagement that ends with a written report: what's solid, what's fragile, what's dangerous, and a prioritized fix list with a quote for each phase. The turnaround depends on the size of the app, and we'll give you the timeline before you commit. Your app keeps running the whole time.

Who owns the code?

You do, all of it, from day one: code, infrastructure, credentials, and documentation, in your accounts and your name. Nothing we build creates a dependency on us. Any competent engineer can pick up the work if you ever part ways with us.

What if it's not salvageable?

Then we tell you plainly, and we tell you why. An honest no is worth more than a quote for work that won't hold up. If a component, or the whole app, can't be made production-grade for less than a clean rebuild, the assessment says so and lays out the smarter path: a targeted rebuild of the worst parts, or starting a specific piece fresh.
