Your neighbors build rockets. Your back office re-keys POs. Your neighbors build rockets. Your back office still re-keys purchase orders.
El Segundo is a town of engineers, and it shows in the products. It rarely shows in the operations behind them: POs typed by hand, systems that don't talk, data moved by copy-paste. AmiFi is a South Bay firm of senior US-citizen engineers. We automate that layer so your people stay on the hard part.
The product is state of the art. The workflow around it isn't.
Purchase orders and POs moved by hand.
Supplier documents come in as PDFs and someone re-keys them into the ERP. The people doing it are too senior to be doing it, and they know it.
Systems that were never integrated.
The ERP, the PLM, the procurement tool, and a stack of spreadsheets each hold part of the picture. A human is the API between them.
Data plumbing nobody owns.
Every report is a manual export-and-reformat. The data exists; getting it from one system into a usable shape is a recurring tax on somebody's week.
Compliance and export-control paperwork by hand.
Controlled-data handling, supplier certs, and audit trails assembled manually, because the work is real but there's no time to build the tooling for it.
Engineers doing operations work.
The team you hired to build the product spends real hours on internal glue code and back-office tasks that a purpose-built automation should own.
El Segundo automation, scoped and built like engineers.
No slide decks, no discovery theater. The same senior engineers run the whole thing, and we scope your export-control and NDA constraints before anything sensitive is in the room.

Intro Call, Over Meet
FREE · 30 MIN · GOOGLE MEETThirty minutes over Google Meet, engineer to engineer. Walk us through how a purchase order, an intake, or a report moves through the real systems, and we'll talk the way engineers talk: specifics, constraints, and where the actual bottleneck is.
You'll get a straight read by the end of the call. If automation won't pay for itself, we say so. If it will, we name the highest-value targets and, where export-controlled data is in scope, we flag it up front and scope it in writing before anything sensitive is in the room.
WHAT YOU WALK AWAY WITH- A straight read on whether automation is worth it here
- The two or three highest-value targets, ranked
- Export-control and NDA constraints noted before any deeper work
- 02
The Automation Roadmap
FIXED FEE · 2 WEEKSA fixed-fee, two-week engagement. It usually opens with a day or two on-site, mapping how your systems actually connect, and ranking the automation targets by projected return, each checked against your existing stack and your data-handling requirements.
You get a written plan you own, with a fixed build quote. Build with us and the Roadmap fee comes off the price; take it to your own team, and it still stands on its own.
WHAT YOU WALK AWAY WITH- A workflow and systems map with the leak points marked
- Ranked targets with projected time and dollar returns
- An integration plan that respects your export-control constraints
- A fixed quote and timeline for the build
- 03
Build, Kept In-Country
FIXED SCOPE · US-BASEDYou approve a fixed scope, then we build into the systems you already run. Every hand on the code is a US citizen working in the US, and your data and code stay in the country and in your accounts, start to finish.
We ship working software in weeks, document it for your engineers, and support it on whatever terms fit. Nothing about the delivery reaches outside the United States.
WHAT YOU WALK AWAY WITH- Production automation built into your existing stack
- All work kept in-country, in your accounts, in your name
- Documentation your own engineers can pick up
Senior, local, and entirely in-country.
- All US-citizen engineers, all in the US.
No offshore handoffs, no overseas subcontractors, no foreign access to your systems. When export-controlled data is anywhere near the work, that's the baseline you need.
- Based in the South Bay, minutes away.
The first call is over Google Meet, but El Segundo is a short drive, so when a visit is warranted it's a drive, not a travel line item. We're a local firm, not a remote vendor claiming to be here.
- Fixed quotes, engineer-run scope.
The people who'll build it scope it, and you approve the price before anyone writes code. No open-ended billing, no junior handoff.
- Built under real scrutiny.
PCI-DSS implementations, KYC and AML programs, Fortune 500 healthcare systems. We build to your compliance and export-control requirements and put the data-handling story in writing.
What El Segundo engineers ask first.
Do you come to us?
Yes, when the work calls for it. The first call is 30 minutes over Google Meet, so there's no travel on either side to get to a straight read. If it makes sense to go further, AmiFi is based in the South Bay, so El Segundo is a short drive, not a travel line item, and the Roadmap usually opens with observation days at your office, because you can't map how a purchase order really moves by looking at a diagram.
Is your team all US citizens? We handle export-controlled data.
Every engineer at AmiFi is a US citizen working inside the United States. We don't offshore, don't subcontract abroad, and your data and code never leave the country. That matters when ITAR or EAR-controlled information is anywhere near the work. To be clear, we don't claim to be an ITAR-registered entity; we're telling you where our people are and where your data stays, and we'll scope the engagement to your export-control and NDA requirements in writing.
What does it cost?
No published price. The first call is free. The two-week Automation Roadmap is a single fixed fee, quoted on that call once we understand the scope. When the scope is clear, a build is a fixed quote you approve up front; when a flat rate doesn't make sense, we work hourly against a cap you approve. If you build with us, the Roadmap fee is credited against it.
What kinds of El Segundo companies do you work with?
Engineering-led operations: aerospace and defense suppliers, hard-tech companies scaling out of prototype, and the media and tech offices in and around Smoky Hollow. The common thread isn't the industry, it's that the product is sharp and the back office still runs on manual re-keying nobody has had time to fix.
We have our own engineers. Why bring you in?
Your engineers are pointed at the product, and they should be. The back-office automation, the systems integration, the data plumbing between the ERP and everything else is real engineering, but it's not the work you hired them for. We take it off their plate so they stay on the thing your company actually sells.
Talk to an expert in El Segundo.
Thirty minutes over Google Meet, engineer to engineer. Tell us where operations bogs down and we'll tell you straight whether it's worth automating, no travel on either side. If a visit makes sense, we're a short drive up the coast, and we scope any export-control constraints in writing before anything sensitive is in the room.

Book straight onto Chris's calendar. No sales rep and nothing to prepare: you talk with the engineer who would actually scope the work.
- Where your team's hours actually go.
- What's worth automating, and what isn't.
- A concrete next step, or an honest no.
